In any given moment, we can choose to see what is working, or to see only what is broken.
Even in the darkest moments, there is light to be seen. And even in the most wonderful moments, we can find something broken to look at. Whatever we are looking for is what we tend to see.
Therefore, my experience of life — whether it is filled with darkness or light, brokenness or beauty, death or life — is up to me.
More specifically, it is up to my willingness to see the light, even when broken things are within sight.
