When anxiety comes, we tend to do either force ourselves forward, or to avoid it altogether. There is another option worth exploring...
We can rest.
There is a Current. It has its own pace — independent of your pushing or pulling. It has its own direction. You can trust the Current, because the Current is for you. So you can rest. You can rest in the middle of it — that thing which triggers your anxiety and causes you to pull back or push forward. The Current has you. You can let go and trust.
You do not have to bring effort into this thing, whatever it is and however anxiety-inducing it may feel. You can be effortless as you move through it, by trusting and resting in the Current.
