Worship Leader (in this case, Nick Evans)-

I’m sitting here listening to you lead worship from my desk. Right now it’s just voices. I’m hearing your voice and then everyone else’s following yours. I’m reminded how important a role the worship leader plays in the Church. You’re laying down a path for them to walk on. You’re not telling them what to do - it’s a response they already have to give - but without your voice they’d lack this vehicle for responding to God as a church. Instead they’d be responding as a bunch of separate voices.

Today they’re all singing the same song, as individuals, but also as one single voice. They’re singing loud - to the point where I almost can’t hear your voice. But I know that if it wasn’t for your voice today, the Church wouldn’t have theirs.

Thanks for playing such a crucial role in the Church.
